The Anxiety Influx: Why You Feel Anxious When Nothing Is Wrong

I've been noticing something in sessions lately: more people carrying anxiety that doesn't match their actual circumstances.
They're asking: "Why do I feel anxious when nothing is wrong in my life?"
Here are three questions that keep helping:
1. Who does this belong to? Not all anxiety you feel is yours. Your nervous system picks up energy from others constantly. Ask this question. Who does it belong to? If the anxiety lightens even 10%, it's not yours. Just that acknowledgement increases your awareness and invites ease in your body.
2. What is my body actually telling me? Anxiety is information. Maybe you need rest, boundaries, movement, stillness, connection, or solitude. Your body has been whispering. What has it been asking for?
3. When did you last do something just for you? Not self-care as a task. Just genuine care and nurturing you. What can you choose to nurture and care for you today?
If you're feeling the anxiety influx, these practices help:
Place hand on heart, close eyes, 3 deep breaths (conscious intentional pausing)
Shake your body for 2 minutes to discharge energy (It looks wild, but it's a valuable practice)
Step outside barefoot for grounding (my favorite!)
